Blogmas - Day 9

Hope you have all had a good weekend!

Ours was very busy but productive!
We went to a Victorian Christmas event yesterday and at the garden centre today in search of my parents Christmas tree.
Garden centres are one of my favourite places to visit, especially at Christmas time :)

Obviously I grabbed a cappuccino!

Then this is the final tree!

Love and festive hugs,

Blogmas - Day 8

Hey lovelies, trying to catch up!

So recently I placed a LUSH order :)
I tend to stick to what I know in Lush.
However,
When I popped in the other day one of the lovely members of staff started asking me about my favourite Christmas lush product (snow fairy shower gel) and then told me about a new shower smoothie and dusting powder. While I wasnt in there for myself I went home and placed an online order!!

Here is what I got!

I haven't tested out the products just yet but I'm off out for a couple of drinks with my friend next week and I shall be layering on the snow fairy scent!

Pictures next week :)

Love,

J x

Blogmas - Day 7

So here we are again,

I tend to find that as this time of year I read more.
I light a candle, snuggle on the sofa, drink coffee and get lost in a book.
I normally buy myself a Christmas book and this years is..

"The twelve dates of Christmas" by Lisa Dickenson

Now I have yet to actually start reading this, but it was the cover that grabbed me. I am a very visual person so unless a book looks great I just wont buy it.

In the past, some of my Christmas books have been..
- I Heart Christmas by Lindsey Kelk (massive fan of this series)
- A Christmas to Remember by Jenny Hale
- The Christmas Party by Carole Matthews

Give one of them a read this festive season,
enjoy,

Blogmas - Day 6

So yesterday I wasn't feeling my bubbly upbeat self,
Stuff got on top of me as I have a few big things happening right now and no real time to sort everything..

So I apologise that there wasn't a post yesterday,

HOWEVER...

Todays post is about my top 5 favourite Christmas films!
In no particular order...

Sometimes you need to go back to being a child and the magic and wonder of Christmas,
Other times you need romance, especially if you feel lonely, to remember that Christmas can be one of the most romantic times of year.

Everyone needs a cuddle at Christmas,

Sending festive hugs,

J x

p.s. Il catch up soon :)

(I found the pictures on google images and do not own them)

Blogmas - Day 4

Day 4 already?!
This is going too quick for my liking..

Anyway,
Today was a family gathering for my grandparents 64th wedding anniversary?!
So I made some of Tanya Burr's milk and white chocolate cookies...

Ingredients:

200g butter (room temperature)
300g caster sugar
1 large egg
325g self-raising flour
a dash of milk
200g white chocolate
200g of milk chocolate
*(In my personal opinion, 100g of each type of chocolate is enough)*

Steps:

1 - Set oven to 200c
2 - Cream together the butter and sugar, making sure the butter is soft

3 - Add the egg and mix well
4 - Next add in the flour a bit at a time mixing well between
5 - If the mixture feels too sticky then add a bit more flour, if the mixture feels dry then add a dash of milk
6 - When the mixture feels the correct consistency add in the chocolate chunks (id advise 1cm by 1cm chunks) and mix in
7 - Use your hands to make smallish balls of dough and place on a baking sheet, these spread out a lot so maybe 4 balls per tray
8 - Cook for 10-12 mins but NO LONGER! they will look like they need more but trust me!
9 - Leave on a tray to cool for around 15 mins.
10 - EAT!

Enjoy your treats,

Love,

J x

Blogmas - Day 3

Helloooo,

So today both myself and the little one went on a walk to catch the last of the pretty colours of Autumn,

I have realised lately that I don't take enough time to appreciate what is around me and show the little one what nature and a calm and peaceful walk can do for you both physically and mentally.
Although December is one of, if not, the busiest and craziest times of the year we all still need the time to gather our thoughts and realise there is more to life than material things.

So take a walk,
breathe the air,
and appreciate what is around you.

So right now this is me,
and i'm happy....for now :)

hugs and positive vibes,

Weight loss Wednesday on a Thursday..

Hey,

I started trying to lose weight about a year - 18months ago and life has always "got in the way"

You either get busy or life gets you down and you don't realise it at the time but you start piling on the pounds to the point where you just feel rubbish.
I've had such a lot on lately and I feel I have been making excuses for the fact I have been making poor food choices. I say to myself  "I deserve this chocolate bar" or "treat yourself you got through today"
It has never been my meal choices that are bad, but the sugar and snacking. They are not only making me put on weight, but I feel are making me unhealthy and that is what I want to stress.
For me personally its not that I want to be thin. I just want to feel healthy and reap the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
So,
I was browsing through Facebook a few months back and happened to stumble across the page/group Fat Loss Feast - members only.
I soon became aware that there was a community attached to this group/plan and that the creator - Joe Sexton was very involved with each and every member of the group, should they so wish.

This plan is not a diet but a new healthy lifestyle that is based on balance and consistency.
Once you are signed up you have access to around 100 individual exercise/workout videos, an online website where you can download recipes, weekly meal plans and if you begin to struggle you can book in for a Facebook call with Joe.

This is the type of food you can eat on this new lifestyle plan!

I am so excited to be starting my journey and although I know its not going to happen instantly, I know its going to happen eventually and I will be healthy!

Check this amazing plan out right here - http://www.fatlossfeast.co.uk/thestory
and find it on Facebook!

Wish me luck!

Much love,

J x

Sometimes coffee solves everything..

Morning lovelies,

So here we are, 2nd week of the summer holidays.
This is babycino's (my sons name for this blog) first school summer holiday and we're struggling to keep busy and not bored!!
So yesterday we managed to fit in a trip to the hairdressers, trip to the park, trip to the shops, my meeting and of course a bit of treat to Caffé Nero.

One of the reasons I've always loved coffee isn't down to the taste, its the 5 minutes peace, the calmness, the cosy feeling of snuggling up with a warm drink. And yesterday it was the oasis of calm from a certain 5 year olds not brilliant behaviour.

Hugs being sent from one already exhausted mum,
Keep smiling,

Some sad people in the world..

Apologies in advance for the long rant,
I'm fed up of people!!

Firstly, why is it that when someone is happy another person feels like it is ok to take that away, without a care in the world for the persons feelings.

Making up rumours may seem like a joke, a bit of fun, but it consequently ruins people's lives and their happiness.

Last night an anonymous person (who I can only refer to as "the idiot") decided that they would send a message to me basically coming up with lies and accusing a certain person or wrongdoing.

If that wasn't enough,
They thought it would be fine to call me all the names under the sun and refer to my appearance.

Believe me, I know I'm not the most attractive and I'm definitely not a size 6!!
But why do people think that the measure, worth, and overall character of a person should be down to they way they look or how much they weigh?

Now. I'm a pretty tough person, I've been through worse than the words this person is throwing at me.

I can get over them.

What happened next however, was definitely not ok..

"Jealous of you? Haha! Yeah jealous of your plus size cloths and your fuck ugly son haha"

⭐️ A message to anyone who thinks that this is ok,
Say anything to me, like really anything.
But say something against my son!!
And you better hope I never find out who you are.⭐️

To the anonymous person,
- Yes, I am not skinny, thin or "fit" I'm not going to hide that.
- Yes, on occasion I have worn "plus size" clothes
- Yes, I have a bit of a tummy. A tummy that grew to protect and nurture my world. My Son. and I tell him everyday just how much I love him and how truly beautiful he is.

So...
Solve your own issues.
Find your own happiness.
But you won't be stealing mine.

💙
