Blogmas - Day 9

Hope you have all had a good weekend!

Ours was very busy but productive!
We went to a Victorian Christmas event yesterday and at the garden centre today in search of my parents Christmas tree.
Garden centres are one of my favourite places to visit, especially at Christmas time :)

Obviously I grabbed a cappuccino!

Then this is the final tree!

Love and festive hugs,

Blogmas - Day 8

Hey lovelies, trying to catch up!

So recently I placed a LUSH order :)
I tend to stick to what I know in Lush.
However,
When I popped in the other day one of the lovely members of staff started asking me about my favourite Christmas lush product (snow fairy shower gel) and then told me about a new shower smoothie and dusting powder. While I wasnt in there for myself I went home and placed an online order!!

Here is what I got!

I haven't tested out the products just yet but I'm off out for a couple of drinks with my friend next week and I shall be layering on the snow fairy scent!

Pictures next week :)

Love,

J x

Blogmas - Day 7

So here we are again,

I tend to find that as this time of year I read more.
I light a candle, snuggle on the sofa, drink coffee and get lost in a book.
I normally buy myself a Christmas book and this years is..

"The twelve dates of Christmas" by Lisa Dickenson

Now I have yet to actually start reading this, but it was the cover that grabbed me. I am a very visual person so unless a book looks great I just wont buy it.

In the past, some of my Christmas books have been..
- I Heart Christmas by Lindsey Kelk (massive fan of this series)
- A Christmas to Remember by Jenny Hale
- The Christmas Party by Carole Matthews

Give one of them a read this festive season,
enjoy,

Blogmas - Day 6

So yesterday I wasn't feeling my bubbly upbeat self,
Stuff got on top of me as I have a few big things happening right now and no real time to sort everything..

So I apologise that there wasn't a post yesterday,

HOWEVER...

Todays post is about my top 5 favourite Christmas films!
In no particular order...

Sometimes you need to go back to being a child and the magic and wonder of Christmas,
Other times you need romance, especially if you feel lonely, to remember that Christmas can be one of the most romantic times of year.

Everyone needs a cuddle at Christmas,

Sending festive hugs,

J x

p.s. Il catch up soon :)

(I found the pictures on google images and do not own them)

Blogmas - Day 4

Day 4 already?!
This is going too quick for my liking..

Anyway,
Today was a family gathering for my grandparents 64th wedding anniversary?!
So I made some of Tanya Burr's milk and white chocolate cookies...

Ingredients:

200g butter (room temperature)
300g caster sugar
1 large egg
325g self-raising flour
a dash of milk
200g white chocolate
200g of milk chocolate
*(In my personal opinion, 100g of each type of chocolate is enough)*

Steps:

1 - Set oven to 200c
2 - Cream together the butter and sugar, making sure the butter is soft

3 - Add the egg and mix well
4 - Next add in the flour a bit at a time mixing well between
5 - If the mixture feels too sticky then add a bit more flour, if the mixture feels dry then add a dash of milk
6 - When the mixture feels the correct consistency add in the chocolate chunks (id advise 1cm by 1cm chunks) and mix in
7 - Use your hands to make smallish balls of dough and place on a baking sheet, these spread out a lot so maybe 4 balls per tray
8 - Cook for 10-12 mins but NO LONGER! they will look like they need more but trust me!
9 - Leave on a tray to cool for around 15 mins.
10 - EAT!

Enjoy your treats,

Love,

J x

*Recipe comes from Tanya burr's YouTube channel..

Blogmas - Day 3

Helloooo,

So today both myself and the little one went on a walk to catch the last of the pretty colours of Autumn,

I have realised lately that I don't take enough time to appreciate what is around me and show the little one what nature and a calm and peaceful walk can do for you both physically and mentally.
Although December is one of, if not, the busiest and craziest times of the year we all still need the time to gather our thoughts and realise there is more to life than material things.

So take a walk,
breathe the air,
and appreciate what is around you.

So right now this is me,
and i'm happy....for now :)

hugs and positive vibes,

It's........BLOGMAS! - Day 1

Hey lovelies,

I've not always had a great track record for "Blogmas" or even consistent posts, but here we go again...

Day 1 -

* I treated myself to a haircut today to get ready for the busiest time of year
* Our elf decided to try and make it snow last night...with talc!!
* I have been researching wrapping themes for this year (watch out for a future post)
* I have planned 90% of the blogmas posts, so if anyone has any ideas let me know!

So a fairly simple introduction post today but here is this years Christmas tree!!

Lots of festive cheer,

J x
