Small Haul, Superdrug and Liz earle :) x

Hey Beautiful :)

Superdrug and Liz Earle haul,

Yesterday, I took a trip to Superdrug again, after I was really quite impressed with the Superdrug Radiance eye cream.

Their radiance skincare collection was still half price so I picked up the "Naturally Radiant Brightening hot cloth cleanser" Which I have heard a lot about, and being a Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish girl I thought I would try it out
.
And their "Brightening Radiance Balm" Which also seems to have good reviews and some compare it to another radiance balm from a premium skincare range.

Both of these products were £2.98 and usually priced at £5.99.

You can buy both of these products here - SUPERDRUG

While I was in Superdrug I happened to pass all the nail varnishes - Yay!!
And noticed  "Andrea Fulerton Glitter Puff Dusts & Overcoat" for only 70p!!!
I have since looked on the website and the price on there was £4.49 so it may be best to look in your local superdrug shop.

And by the time I was home my Liz Earle package was waiting for me :)

I ordered a trial size of their "Deep cleansing mask" as my skin is feeling a bit congested and wanted a little treat for my skin. It came with 2 sponges, a FREE travel sized cleanse and polish with muslin cloth, and a sample of their new body lotion that they have just launched.

Buy Liz Earle - Here

*Look out for all the reviews coming up*

Anyway, I hope you all have a lovely day,

And remember...SMILE!!,
because that smile could mean the world to somebody feeling down,

Love to you all,

REVIEW!! - superdrug naturally radiant brightening eye cream 15ml x

Morning lovely people,

Now sorry for the lack of post over the last couple of days,

But, here I am again!!

The other day i had a splurge in superdrug and boots :) = happy times!!

So the first review is going to be for the:
brightening eye cream from
superdrugs' naturally radiant collection,

When I bought it it was better than half price, should of been £5.99 I managed to buy it for £2.98!! BARGAIN!!
Now, when i first opened the box and found the little tube, I thought that there wasn't alot and could this be worth £5.99.
However, You only need a small amount (see picture),

Claims:
Kiwi extracts to help brighten and smooth the eye area and help reduce signs of fatigue.
-  improve skin’s barrier function and leave skin feeling soft and supple.
-  Instantly skin around the eye area feels moisturised.
-  After 1 week: - Skin around the eye area feels softer and smoother and Skin around the eye area feels more refreshed and energised.
-  After 4 weeks: - Appearance of dark circles and puffiness is minimised. (Self-assessment user trial by 50 people)

How to use:
1 - take the tube and squeeze a small amount on to the ring finger,
2 - liqhtly pat the cream onto the under eye circles with the ring finger until absorbed,
3 - with the remaining cream liqhtly smooth over upper lid and into the eye socket.

I hope to keep this as a running review as time goes on to see if the claims are correct,
Here are photos of before and after the first use:

                  Before:                                                                                                      After:

My opinion after 1 use:
Good points +
Bad points -

+ My eyes did feel considerably more hydrated and moisturised
+ The fact the cream was cold was a lovely feeling when smoothing on the cream
+ Not a strong smell

- A bit of a sticky/ tacky feel on the eyes after

So all in all, so far so good!!
:)

 Much love,

REVIEW!! - JOHN FRIEDA, FRIZZ EASE - Smooth start collection x

Hellooo :)

I have had the opportunity to try out the new Frizz Ease smooth start collection from John Frieda.
They are all safe for colour treated hair.

The collection includes 4 things:

1 - Smooth start shampoo 250ml
2 - Smooth start conditioner 250ml
3 - Original 6 effects serum 50ml
4 - Secret Agent touch up creme 100ml

1 - Shampoo

"Starts blocking frizz in the shower" Hydrates and restores manageability for shiny hair.
It contains a special frizz-mending complex and olive oil for smooth hair.

TO USE - Wet hair, use a 50p size (depending on length and thickness) lather and rinse out. No need to      repeat.

There is a strange smell though, a bit like hair dye mixed with a fruity smell, its not a strong smell and only      lasts until you wash out the shampoo.

GOOD - Lathers up very easily, almost instantly.
GOOD - Doesn't take hours to rinse out either.

      = Overall a good product.

2 - Conditioner

"Starts blocking frizz in the shower"  Hydrates and repels frizz for a smooth shiny style.

TO USE - After shampoo, use a 50p size (depending on length and thickness) smooth conditioner               through the lengths and ends of wet hair and rinse thoroughly. No need to leave for minutes.

*More pleasant fruity smell than the shampoo.

GOOD - You can feel the difference in smoothness straight away.
GOOD - Easy to rinse out, no greasy residue.

      = Overall a great product

3 - Serum

"Award winning formula instantly eliminates frizz and repels humidity for glossy, silky smooth hair"      (Also includes a heat protectant)
The 6 effects are:
  1. Eliminates frizz
  2. Protects from humidity
  3. Protects from heat
  4. Smoothes
  5. Hydrates
  6. Tames

TO USE - Apply to soaking wet hair, straight from the shower. Use sparingly. (The bottle says 1 pump but I used 3 as my hair is both thick and long) Pump into palm and rub together to form a film. Distribute evenly through the hair avoiding the roots.

GOOD - Easy to work between the hands.
GOOD - Easy to use pump dispenser
GOOD - Increases shine and smoothes those fly away hairs.
GOOD - Takes out a step of my hair routine as this is also a heat protectant.

BAD - Pointless packaging? A vile suspended in a clear plastic tube with no bottom?

BAD/ PERSONAL VIEW - I don't believe that having soaking wet hair helps this product achieve what its supposed to. I will start towel drying my hair as i think this way my hair will retain more product.

= Good product, re think needed on the packaging?

4 - Secret Agent touch up creme -

"Instantly smoothes hair and camouflages frizzy ends for a flawless, shiny finish. Seals hair and eliminates frizz and flyaways"
Includes - Avacado oil and UV Filter

TO USE - Apply to dry hair. Rub a small amount between palms and pull through hair, concentrating on ends. Reapply as needed. I used about a 10p size and found this was too much, so around a 20p size would be great :)

GOOD - Fruity smell is very nice
GOOD - Consistency is good and easy to work with.
GOOD - The size isn't too big so can fit into my handbag.

= Overall, Great product

Overall good points:
  • Clear labelling, eg. Shampoo/Conditioner on the back of bottles
  • Easy to use tubes, can squueze/roll up the tubes when nearly at the bottom. No need to leave them upside down.
  • Colour coordinated regimes eg. Smooth start = purple, Dream curls = Blue.
  • Overall nice smell.
  • Flip up lids so no losing the top.

The products I have tried have all been brilliant for me.
